Learning Methods for a Counsellor and Applying Micro Skills An effective counselling requires experience, gathered with necessary information of which has been applied for the benefit of the client. For a trainee counsellor, the vital methods are reading counselling skills and following improvements, updates about professions, discussing issues with other counsellors and be cautious and brave enough to practice in his/her life. However, when they learn and realize it into their lives; they may come across troubles like lack of practice, unsatisfactory preparation, uncontrollable feelings such as shock, amazement, laughter etc. That everybody is a learner, everybody is a teacher and every script tells you something useful or inapplicable should be the slogan and philosophy of a trainee counsellors.
